The masterpiece of the basilica’s treasury.

Commissioned by the Sint Servaas Basilica in Maastricht (NL), Bruns realised a special display case for the bust of Sint Servaas. 

On the first Sunday after 13 May, the day after the the party of Sint Servaas, the procession including the bust of Sint Servaas traditionally passes through the Maastricht city centre. The procession starts from the Sint Servaas Basilica and ends at Onze Lieve Vrouw ‘Sterre der Zee’ Basilica. The bust is carried on the shoulders during this tour.
