The new ‘Hidden Treasures’ room of the Navy Museum in Den Helder has become a multifunctional place.
Not only museum visitors bus also invited guests are welcome to discover the Royal Navy during a diner or reception.
The Navy Museum’s collection consists of as many as 80,000 objects. A big part of this has been kept behind closed doors for future generations. The ‘Hidden treasures’ exhibition gives full attention to some objects preserved for years. Paintings, ship models, ship decorations, awards, ship bells, banners, sculptures and silverware colour the history of the Royal Navy from the 17th century to the present day.
With this new space, the Navy Museum is equipped to receive museum visitors, receptions and other gatherings.
