On Wednesday 22 September, The King of Sweden inaugurated the new museum Vrak- Museum of Wrecks in Stockholm, Sweden.
The brand new museum tells about the world-unique heritage that exists on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. This great project has finished and we celebrated this special opening together with all involved.
Now, it is time to show this great heritage to the public. Special to this exhibition is the way how the fragile subject, namely the wrecks, is presented. With the help of digital technology, the museum takes the stories to the surface but leaves the wrecks on the bottom where they are best preserved. The exhibition has a high level of education, because the activities at the museum are based of the knowledge from maritime archeological investigations.
A visit to VRAK, promises to be a memorable experience!
Soon, we add this great exhibition to our website. Stay tuned!
Thank you to all involved of this project!
